Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CertNotify ("the Service") at certnotify.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and CertNotify.

2. Description of Service

CertNotify provides SSL certificate monitoring, domain expiry tracking, TLS configuration auditing, DNS health checking, and related security monitoring tools. The Service includes both free and paid subscription tiers. Features and limits vary by subscription plan as described on our Pricing page.

3. Account Registration

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use features beyond the free public tools. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your CertNotify account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@certnotify.com.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to monitor domains you do not own or have authorization to monitor
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, access restrictions, or authentication mechanisms
• Use the Service to conduct automated scans at a volume that degrades service for other users
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code through the Service
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any organization

5. Subscription and Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms of service.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period — we do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. CertNotify is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions, monitoring failures, or missed alerts.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertNotify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: website downtime caused by SSL certificate expiry, data loss, or loss of revenue. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

The CertNotify platform, including all software, designs, text, and trademarks, is the intellectual property of CertNotify. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of the public tools.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time from account settings.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
